We often get asked about adult badminton coaching so please note that there will be a course starting at K2 Crawley on Tuesday 9th June, 6-7pm.
Run by K2 in association with Badminton England, it’s a 7 week course for those aged 16 years+ looking to improve their skills. All standards welcome. It costs £30 (price includes shuttlecocks and courts). For more information, or to book/pay, contact K2 Crawley reception on 01293 585 300.
Following his superb performance for Sussex at this year’s ICT tournament, FastStep’s Daniel Hatton reports on an epic few days in Nottingham.

Well done to the FastStep Badminton Academy players who picked up medals at last weekend’s Sussex U14/U16 Rising Stars tournament.
Amy Radford won the U16 girls’ singles, then won the girls doubles with fellow FastStep player Casey Coats, beating another FastStep player, Amy Fines and partner in the final! Great work girls!
In the boys event, there was gold for FastStep’s Harry Tree in the U14 doubles, alongside partner Luke Davies [who has now joined FastStep too – Ed]. Well done boys!

Trials for Sussex County Junior Badminton for the 2015-2016 season will be held on Saturday 27th June at Portslade Sports Centre, Chalkey Rd, Portslade.
Timings are
13:00-14:30 U13 – Born on or after 1 January 2003
15:00-16:30 U15 – Born on or after 1 January 2001
17:00-18:30 U17 – Born on or after 1 January 1999
Note, there is no U11 Sussex squad for the 2015/2016 season. A series of development sessions will be held instead, starting with a free session from 12:00-13:00 at Portslade Sports Centre on Saturday 27th June.
FastStep will be providing free badminton coaching at the K2 family fun day on 26th April.
The junior badminton coaching session will run from 12.30-1.30pm in the main hall.
There are loads of other activities to try on the day, from bowls and climbing to trampolining and squash. See full details of the K2 family fun day.
Well done to Amy Radford and Laura Hemsley who won gold in the U16 girls doubles at the Tunbridge Wells League Junior tournament.
Also well done to Amy for reaching the final of the U16 singles and claiming the silver medal.
Well done to FastStep first-time pairing of Jack Thomson and Will Savage, who picked up silver at the weekend in the Eastbourne senior tournament men’s doubles event.

There was success for FastStep players today at the Tunbridge Wells Badminton League Junior tournament.
David Jolliffe and Elliott Lucas won the boys U14 doubles, while David came runner up in the U14 singles. Well done boys.
Also a huge well done to FastStep’s Thomas Klyne who won the U12 doubles event with partner Will Brownless.
