Badminton Summer Camp 2015

Registration is now open for our 2016 Badminton Summer Camp

FastStep Badminton Summer Camp is back for a second year in August 2015 to help you prepare for the new season.

Summer Camp is aimed at players in the U13-U17 age groups who regularly compete on the Badminton England circuit.

Please note: The August 2015 camp is now completely full. We are operating a reserve list. Please check back for future badminton camps.

Hosted once again at Oriel High School in Crawley, conveniently located off the M23 and near Three Bridges railway station (see map below), the camp will provide 3 days of coaching from 24th to 26th August from 10am-4pm daily.

Coaching will be run by ex-England player and GB Olympian Jo Muggeridge alongside ex-Sussex coach and FastStep head coach Zeyar Win (Level 3 coach).

Cost for the 3 days is £110 including all coaching, courts and shuttles.

Frequently asked questions:

Do you still have spaces available? No, the 2015 Summer Camp is full. Please get in touch if you’d like to be informed about future badminton camps.

What is the standard of players attending the camp? The camp is aimed at Badminton England junior circuit players. We already have 6 players confirmed who have won medals at BE bronze or silver tournaments this season. It is expected that the group will be divided according to ability so players will be training with those of similar ability.

Is there accommodation available? We are unable to offer accommodation so would suggest either staying with a player based locally to Crawley, or one of the many hotels in the Crawley/Gatwick area.

Can I get there by public transport? Three Bridges railway station is on the London to Brighton mainline and is a 20 minute walk from the venue. We may be able to arrange for you to be picked up and dropped there each day – please ask.

Do you have a camp for beginners/intermediate players? We are interested in hearing from players at this level who would be interested in a camp in August and will consider running one if demand is high enough.

Do I have to be a FastStep member to attend the Summer Camp? No, we will consider applications from all players. FastStep reserves the right to allocate places at its discretion.
